We have hard floors throughout the downstairs and, whilst the house isn't big and we don't have dogs or cats, there were always lots of "bits" to get stuck into feet and transported around the house. What a waste of money! Feels like an expensive student project! No-go lines are easy to manage and quite useful.Įdit: occasionally stops following no-go lines properly. Suction power is good and cleaning performance is good. There is a dust leak between filter and the dust bin even while using the original filter so the build quality is not that good. Filters and other spare parts are too expensive. Required space around the base is hard to find in small houses. God knows why but this area always remains uncleaned.

It always leaves a space between itself and this wall.

There is a wall without a distraction around. It cleans it one time, but do not go there for another run. There is a narrowish corridor in one of the rooms. Although I bought it with a good deal, I am not sure if I would buy again. Not bad, but also far from being good enough. this is going to be a huge disappointment. The only positive thing I can say is that it does pickup relatively well, but against this the 'dust bag' (actually a plastic box) isn't that capacious.īottom line, if you live in a normal home with stairs, rugs etc. In use, it's not too noisy on eco mode, it normal mode it sounds like a normal vacuum does. Nor can it do crevices, furnishings, etc. Self evidently it can't do stairs and, if you live in a house, you need to carry to the first floor to do the bedrooms.

The instruction say its best to have the charging unit on a hardwood floor.
NEATO BOTVAC D6 TV
Freed, it then wandered about some more before bumbling into the space between the TV stand and bookcase, unable to turn around or reverse To be honest, it was so bad it was comical.Įventually it discovered the layout of the lounge, kitchen and hallway but, to avoid the rugs and what not, I had to define so many areas as 'off limits' in the floorplan it was covering barely 50% of the floor space.īear in mind you also need to find a 'home' for the charging base and the robot, about 50cm on each side, from where it can roll-out to clean on schedule. Almost at once it drove itself onto the base of an reclining chair and got stuck. After some spinning and attempts to ingest the rug, I helped it out.
NEATO BOTVAC D6 UPGRADE
Initial setup was the usual download app, connect it to wifi, upgrade software then off it went to explore.Īlmost at once, the robot met its nemesis - the rug with tassels. That's exactly how I felt about this robot cleaner. Readers of a certain age will remember Tomorrow's World on TV where gadgets of the future would be demonstrated which more often than not failed to do anything useful. For anyone else, this is close to a total waste of money. this is going to be a huge disappointment.ĭo you live in a minimalist open-plan loft conversion with loads of hardwood flooring and no children at home who leave items lying about? If so, this might be of interest. etc.In use, it's not too noisy on eco mode, it normal mode it sounds like a normal vacuum does. The only positive thing I can say is that it does pickup relatively well, but against this the 'dust bag' (actually a plastic box) isn't that capacious.Bottom line, if you live in a normal home with stairs, rugs etc. The instruction say its best to have the charging unit on a hardwood floor.Self evidently it can't do stairs and, if you live in a house, you need to carry to the first floor to do the bedrooms.
